Se suicidó el chef del mejor restaurante del mundo

BenoîtViolier, que tenía nacionalidad franco suiza, había obtenido innumerables galardones y ostentaba tres estrellas Michelin.

El reconocido chef de cocina Benoît Violier, del restaurante "l'Hôtel de Ville de Crissier", murió anoche en su casa a los 44 años aparentemente tras suicidarse, según informó la policía del cantón suizo de Vaud.

Violier, que tenía nacionalidad franco suiza, había obtenido innumerables galardones y ostentaba tres estrellas Michelin.

La fiscalía suiza ha abierto una investigación penal, que ha encargado a la división de la policía criminal, para establecer las causas definitivas de su muerte, pero según el comunicado que la policía hizo público anoche "el interesado habría puesto fin a sus días".

La muerte ocurrió solo tres semanas después de que su restaurante, que ya ostentaba tres estrellas Michelín, obtuviera el título de "mejor restaurante del mundo" por "La Liste".

Precisamente, los dirigentes de la Guía Michelín ha emitido un comunicado en el que se muestran "abatidos por su desaparición".
